GyroPoint
From ScribbleWiki: SunFish7's Wiki
I got a couple of corded PS2 GyroMice
These were made by GyroPoint about 10 years back ('95?)
I can't even find a pic on Google now!
Notice I've attached a PS2->USB converter on the back
I just cut it out of an off-the-shelf one
I've chopped the board down to size too (which was a bitch - I chopped an important wire and it took 12 hours to figure out)
So all you need is the chip pinout:
On the top row (counting from the left)
- Pin 1: +
- Pin 4: Data
- Pin 8 Clk
Remember [Specification]! {+, -, clk, data}
On the bottom row (counting from the left)
- Pins 2, 3 need to be tied. One is connected to the + rail, the other is the 'Gyro Is Active?' input, and has to be set high. Forgot which
- Pins 4,5,6 are M,L,R buttons & need to be pulled to ground. erm ive forgotten to pull M low but whatever, works ok
- Last pin is - rail
