I should have done this straight away. i am skint - if I don't get any money I will have to ebay my laptop to get a plane ticket to Japan where I can teach English. a week ago this looks like my best option, but I had no idea I would get so much positive feedback. the amazing amount of interest ( already 9000 YouTube hits, 6000 GoogleHits, at least two articles, several blog entries, a load of comments, and a dozen great e-mails ) has given me a boost.

I need money for

1. food warmth shelter

2. healing for my RSI

3. buying stuff - electronics, materials, gadgets, chocolate, getting pcb's made, domains, skype credit, etc etc

4. outsourcing tasks - paying people to do coding, Micro Electronics designs

5. doing a batch run, selling some units, handling legal stuff etc

if I get enough money to reach (4), the project will really start to fly: it would be fun to see how far it can go off donations.

that's the dream: to produce a batch run ethically and at a good price to the user. I am not going to sell out to some big-company if it compromises this.

however (5) is where the big money comes in. I cannot imagine I'll get enough money from donations to pull this off. the key to this is probably investment.

if you would like to invest, please send me an e-mail. please accept that my motivation for this project is to ethically manifest a good healthy and complete hci solution. making money comes secondary to this. I think eventually this technology could produce a range of products that will make a lot of money. but please let us stick with the positive impact it will bring to the community of computer users. If this is OK to you, I would very much like to hear from you.
